Before founding Newton Scott in 1989, I was an Equity Partner of Alder King, whose office locations included Truro, Exeter, Taunton, Bristol, Gloucester and Swindon, in addition to Bournemouth and Southampton.

I began my career with what was then Bernard Thorpe & Partners, in Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1, recently known as DTZ and more latterly merged with Cushman Wakefield (2015).

My business is based in the professional district of Southampton.

When I’m not at work, I live in Poole, Dorset.

So you could say that I’m pretty much at home, throughout most of Southern England.

Newton Scott is a long established (1989) firm of Commercial Property Agents and Consultants, based in the heart of Southampton’s business community

Newton Scott provide a range of Commercial Agency services including sales and lettings, for both landlords or tenants. That could include acquiring new accommodation for their occupation, or merely for long term investment purposes.

We like to feel we provide a service that’s second to none, based on a thorough and in-depth understanding of our client’s aspirations, both in time-frame and monetary terms, which in turn reaps the results that can so often be missed.

We are always happy to advise on marketing, no matter how big or small your property.

Our strong negotiating skills enable us to gain the best possible terms from initial instructions through to final completion.

We have been in this business for over 30 years and during that time have experienced several recessions. The value of quality advice is never more necessary than in a difficult market. Importantly, we know how to ensure a deal reaches a positive conclusion and how to nurture it through to completion.

Newton Scott do not play the numbers game. We only take on properties where we have the capacity to provide the level of service that our Clients demand. We never take on more than 15 properties at any one time, to ensure we provide the marketing reach, both diligently and with enthusiasm, to achieve the results required.

In doing this we secure repeat business on a regular basis.

It’s been more than 30 years since I founded Newton Scott and I am as enthusiastic today as when I first opened our doors back in May 1989. The most important aspect is our commitment to our clients, without which there would be no Newton Scott. We always aim to act in their best interests and provide the highest level of professionalism.
